MARRY&REPRODUCE (Aiòn#ooo)

 

MARRY&REPRODUCE is the preliminary stage of the research in progress that is developing through a series of live performances in the path named "Aion". This research is focused on the human perceptive ways and the results are proposed to the public using the means and the form of the audio-visual performance.

 

In this work the contemporarily use of BBF (binaural beat frequencies), sounds, spoken words, and images

is addressed to a reduction of the sensorial splitting through the induction of an integrated synesthetic perception.

 

The binaural waves (BBF) are produced with two identical acoustic frequencies to which is applied a difference of phase between the audio channels that induces the brain to produce a third frequency called "brainwave" (absolutely subjective) that it is the resultant one of a mediation among the two sonorous impulses.

 

 

MARRY&REPRODUCE is focused to the interaction generated by words (written and spoken) together with sounds, BBF, and images. The words used in this work, are related to a particular reflection on the mechanisms of the global market economy.

An ipnotic and suggestive editing have been elaborated by _mar.core, extrapolating the source images from the movies: Park Chan-Wook "chinjeolhan geumjassi" 2oo5 and John Carpenter "they live" 1988

 

audio:

Audio tracks are spatialized in a 5.1 surround sound diffusion. The combination of the different sound sources create a series of sound sculptures in which the visitor is immersed through a three-dimensional auditory perception

 

In the four main audio channels (left/ right front and left/righ rear) have been mixed to the sound tracks some speaking voices selected from the movie: Achbar/Abbot/Bakan "the corporation" 2oo3.

Each of the four channels diffuses a different speech: then in the middle of the installation area the visitor perceives a crowd of vague rumors. The individual speeches, become intelligible according to the movement of the visitor inside the installation space in close proximity to each sound source.
